Debate Mate is a national charity dedicated to improving the verbal intelligence of young people from underprivileged backgrounds. To do this we need your help. Volunteers would assist in improving the debating skills of these young children after weekly training sessions. Volunteers are welcome with any debating experience as what is most important is a commitment to help.
Not only would this project allow you to personally change the lives of the young people involved; but you will also gain valuable volunteering experience that is great for your CV, become an accredited mentor and be paid £30 for each hour session. There are also opportunities to travel and teach in countries such as Dubai and Israel and additional regional and national competitions.
